Delete Files based on Date in Title Wed Apr 16, 2014 9:33 pm • by willdoggett
I'm trying to find a way to have Hazel delete a file based on a time set in the title. So for Example, If I end a file with _exp_4-18-2014, then on that day Hazel would automatically delete that file. I'm open to other suggestions to do this-but essentially need to add multiple files to a folder and have them automatically delete or move from that folder at a specific date. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks!

I don't think it's possible at the moment without a script. I've been thinking about a feature where custom/date tokens can be used as an attribute in a condition but that's a bit down the line.

Paul,
Thanks for the reply. I'll see what I can come up with using a script. Thanks for the great app-loving it!
