How to tag containing folder

Hello there. First time poster and new user. Loving Hazel so far!

I've created a rule to move a file, rename it, then tag it with an 'action required' tag. (works well)

I want the containing folder to automatically tag itself 'action required' when it contains a file with the relevant tag.

So I know there is a file waiting without having to go into the folder.

Hope this makes sense. I've been trying for about a week to find a way to do it!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll probably have to monitor the folder containing the folder you want to tag. Then add a rule using a nested condition. You can create a nested condition by holding down option while clicking the + button. From there, you can set up a condition to match a folder based on the files within it.

Thank you!

Pressing the Option/Alt key was exactly what I needed.

All working correctly now :D
