Hazel not running after updating to 10.9 Wed Feb 26, 2014 10:29 pm • by JRhodes88
Hazel has been running fine for some time now. I finally decided to update from 10.8.5 to 10.9

I'm noticing that Hazel is matching folders, but is not running the rules on specified folders.

I've also noticed these log messages which I have never seen before.

Code: Select all

Hazel is the latest 3.2.5 version.

Any ideas?

I have found out that it seems to have broken the rule I had to unarchive multiple .rar files.

This is the rule I have setup. It is supposed to copy all the archive files in the same directory before unarchiving them as a whole. For seeding purposes, it is supposed to leave the original files intact. This was working fine until the latest update and the move to 10.9

Those log messages are normal. Can you post the logs of any activity regarding any of the files that should match this rule? Also, do they match in the preview?

Almost none of my rules are working since the update. I've copied the text from the log below....this is super frustrating...

You should probably post in a new topic since it doesn't necessarily seem like the same issue. In your case, first try rebooting. If you still see the "[METRICS] Could not get connection to scheduler to update metrics." errors, check to make sure you don't have two copies of Hazel installed. Look in your top level /Library/PreferencePanes as well as the one under your home folder. It should only be in one place. If you aren't sure which one to keep, get rid of the one at the top level.
