Can Hazel notify if it's stuck?

Hi guys!

I come across this issue every now and then when Hazel is trying to unarchive password protected zips, rars, archives, etc... I understand that Hazel can not unarchive those files, obviously, BUT it only notifies me once of the problem.

If I'm not currently at my computer or don't notice the notification telling me that Hazel can not unarchive this pw protected archive, it's then thrown into a loop.

It's only when I come to look at my activity monitor that I see HazelHelper using 100% CPU repetitively and then have to check the console to see what it's stuck on. Hazel should be smart enough to skip through this file, or notify me every 30 minutes or so if it's stuck in a loop like this.

If it encounters an error, it should revisit the file with increasing frequency (i.e. it starts out frequent but backs off each time until it's only checking like every hour). If this isn't happening, then something is wrong or new files with errors are constantly being introduced.

Yes, that seems ideal. A notification would also be ideal for letting the user know it's hitting a wall. Unfortunately this isn't the case. Been giving me the same error for 5 days straight.

I think it keeps getting file events which causes it to run constantly. It's unclear whether it's Hazel doing it itself or something else. Can you enable debug logging (see the sticky article near the top of the forum) and repost the logs after that?
