Nested conditions? Fri Jan 24, 2014 5:49 am • by Merijn
L.s.,

I've been using Hazel for some time now and I have recently come across nested conditions.
Now I'm wondering if I can put this to my advantage...

What I now have is a big list of separate rules that do the following:

- Watch a folder on Dropbox (called inbox) for any files that I scan and/or save as PDF
- It then looks for specific content based on either Content Match (for instance date using a custom token) or Content Contain
- Hazel then uses the custom tokens and some preset patterns to rename the files
- The files are moved to a separate folder where Hazel applies a different set of rules to sort them.

The thing is that my list of rules is getting pretty big and there's no way of resizing the window since it is part of the System Preferences window (on a Mac) which can't be resized.

Can I make use of nested conditions so I can combine the rules and the different custom tokens I've made?
I'm not show how I can put these nested rules/conditions to my advantage...

Any tips highly appreciated!

I've already responded via email (please only write to one place or the other as I end up having to type answers twice).
