Removing Cover Art From iTunes Directory Tue Jan 14, 2014 7:45 pm • by gadget.geek
Hi there.

I'm trying to set up a Hazel Subfolder rule that will allow me to move Cover Art or file type images
that are found within my iTunes directory. I want the cover art (album covers) to be moved to the trash.
I was running a DLN/A server and it created a separate .jpg in each album directory.

The file directory structure is Music/Artist Name/Album Name/.jpg

I've tried the following and unable to get it to work:

if ALL of the following conditions are met:

Kind IS FOLDER
Content Contains jpg

Run Rules on Folder Contents
Move to Folder Trash

Could somebody please help.
I have a HUGE library of music.

Thanks!

Write a rule to move the file as if it were at the top level. Once you have that, read the sticky article on subfolders and add that rule as well. Also, I recommend doing this on some test files as the results can be quite destructive if you do it incorrectly.
