Could not find image named 'Hazel'. Sat Jan 04, 2014 1:32 pm • by gardel
At some point recently I noticed that Hazel had stopped working. When I try to access Hazel Preferences, my System Preferences crashes and I have to force quit it. When this happens, the following is logged:

Code: Select all
1/4/14 9:19:08.428 AM System Preferences[27981]: Could not find image named 'Hazel'.
1/4/14 9:19:08.458 AM System Preferences[27981]: *****Hazel load address: 0x1139e3000

I have removed the pref pane and reinstalled, but the errors continue.

In the logs, there are other errors related to Hazel (pasted below) that may provide a clue. Ideas?

Those messages are normal. Is Hazel crashing or locking up? If the former, go to your Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports folder and look for a crash report for System Preferences and email that to support. If the latter, then launch Activity Monitor and do "Sample Process" on System Preferences and email that output in.
