What version of Hazel are you running now and do you recall ever running an older version (like the 1.x series)?

If you look in your Library/LaunchAgents folder, do you see any files starting with "com.noodlesoft"? If so, I would remove those and then logout and back in.

Also, double-check your Login Items. You can view them in the Accounts->Login Items pane of System Preferences. HazelHelper should be the only Hazel related thing in there.

Let me know what you find.

The same thing happens to me; every time I log in, System Preferences opens and displays the Hazel preference pane.

I've checked the LaunchAgents folder and my LoginItems, and they don't have any entries as you describe. I might have run Hazel 1.x a long time ago, but I don't recall for sure.

Can you try the following on the command-line?

Code: Select all
launchctl list

See if any of the entries in the output start with com.noodlesoft.

Here you go:

Code: Select all
$ launchctl list | grep noodlesoft
600   -   com.noodlesoft.HazelHelper
-   0   com.noodlesoft.Hazel.hazelfolderwatch-trash

It appears you have the old launchd jobs that were used in the Hazel 1 days. The odd thing is that you say there are no entries in LaunchAgents. Try spotlight and see if you find files called com.noodlesoft.HazelHelper.plist and com.noodlesoft.Hazel.hazelfolderwatch-trash.plist and remove those.

Log out and then back in and see if that resets things.
