Question Subtitles apps Tue Nov 26, 2013 1:06 pm • by meirsik
hii
I use a lot of application Subtitles
I wondered if it was possible with hazel set rules.
To open the program at a certain time and after a few minutes to close it.
Is there a possibility that hazel will scan the folder before downloading subtitles and automatically downloads and movies already have subtitles
תודה

I'm afraid I'm not following. Could you give an example of the workflow you want to achieve?

I have no example
But I'll try to explain better
Again I apologize for my English
When I finish a movie download.
hazel open the subtitle app and search for new sub for the tv show.
But the app does not distinguish between episodes that have occasionally Translation Translation have occasionally do not have.
I want to make that hazel will scan the folder and say Laflyakitzh only specific episodes download a translation
Another problem app indeed small, but after a short time it takes a lot of ram so I want to make her quit after a few minutes.
So I'm looking for script that could make hazel scan the folder will tell the application what to download and after a few minutes the software will close.
As you can see my English is poor and I have Hebrew subtitles. To understand movies or series in English and sometimes client runs several days to translation so I want application has to scan the folder every day

I am still only partially understanding what you want here. It seems you need to run an application to download subtitles, but only in some cases, and then you want it to quit. I don't understand what those cases are so I can't say how Hazel can help there. For running another application and having it quit, you'll need to use AppleScript. I'm not sure how competent you are with scripting but I would start there.
