Mr Noodle

Is there a way to change the time interval for running the rules or perhaps a way of running the rules with a folder action.

The reason I ask I have a folder where stuff gets downloaded to and sometimes its quick at sorting the files other time it takes a while. I would like it sorted as soon as it is downloaded.

Thanks

What program are you using to download? With Safari and Firefox, it should be able to respond to the finished download when it happens.

Also, I am looking to hook into fsevents which would allow Hazel to be more responsive to changes. It is a Leopard-only feature so it would only happen for Leopard users though.

For the internet I'm using Flock and the other one I have rules setup for is Unison for news reading and file downloads of newsgroups.

Flock should be supported and it should pick those downloads off quickly. I'll have to take a look at Unison and see how it downloads to see if it can be detected. I'll put Unison support on the feature list for now.
