Hazel adds seven years to document date? Sat Aug 24, 2013 3:21 pm • by sholmen
Hi all,

I am new to Hazel and and to automation, and I am just experimenting with my first few rules. I have tried to set up a rule where a PDF is renamed with the date given in the document according to Macsparky's screencast: http://vimeo.com/68593663

However, the rule adds seven years to the date, so that a document created 02-08-2013 becomes renamed as 2020-08 xxx (it is a monthly bill, named according to Macsparky's naming convention).

The rule is set up like this: Image

The Dato match in the "Contents" section is set up like this: Image

The Dato match in the "Rename" section is set up like this: Image

Any help would be much appreciated!

Never mind. I rebuilt the rule from scratch with the same elements, and now it works. I must have made a mistake somewhere, even though I cannot find it.
