copying files

Hi,

I want to copy files and folders (prefixed with "xxxxx-") from two subfolders in the same root:

/Users/me/Applications/appfolder/root/sub1/xxxxx-*
/Users/me/Applications/appfolder/root/sub2/xxxxx-*

and I want to move them to two (existing) folders

/Users/me/Applications/otherfolder/root/sub1/xxxxx-*
/Users/me/Applications/otherfolder/root/sub2/xxxxx-*

I now have 2 rules setup.
One for sub1 and one for sub2 but I was wondering if somebody could think of a way to combine them into just 1 rule setup on root.

The names for sub1 and sub2 are always the same.

I wanted to keep it simple and not use applescript :)

Thanks,

Marcel

Have Hazel watch "root" and then have it go into subfolders. See the sticky article at the top of this forum for info on how to do that.

One other question though.

When I set up a rule like 'Document Container' is 'sub1' I thought I asked for the parent folder with name 'sub1' but I see that it is ignored.

Do I mis interpret this?

I don't know about the "Document Container" attribute and how accurate it is. Instead, make a sub-condition (hold down the option key) and set a condition to match the name of the enclosing folder.
