Send E-mail or Set Reminder with Hazel Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:01 pm • by quikatb
Hello,

Does anyone know of an easy way to send an e-mail or set a reminder upon the presence of a new file in a Dropbox shared folder? I have looked at the Display Notification action but it only shows the notice momentarily so I am afraid I may not notice it. I would prefer to send an e-mail which will sit in my inbox, or post a reminder which will nag me incessantly. I suspect this can be done with an automator workflow or applescript but I am new to mac and not yet experienced enough to venture there if I can avoid it.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Automator or AppleScript is the way to go with this. Or, if you are using Growl, I believe there are Growl plugins that will send emails.
