Sort files into auto created date folders Wed Jul 31, 2013 8:18 am • by drknickel
Hello everyone,

i just bought a macbook coming from windows.
In Windows i always placed my files on the desktop and at the end of the day i used dropit to sort these files based on extension into date based folders.

All jpgs -> 07/2013 -> All jpgs

Can i do this with hazel?

Thanks and greets

Yes, this is doable. Set up a rule to match jpegs and use the Sort into Subfolder action to file them into date folders. You didn't specify which date to use but try using Date Added and see if that works for you.
