Is Hazel affected by the number of rules you set up?
I think the Hazel ui is getting slower and slower, even saving a new rule makes the "spinning colour wheel" to appear.
On the folder that i have the most rules i have about 275 and the i have some more folders but those are not as many rules.
Would it help to unactivate some of the rules, there are probably a lot of them that are in no use at the moment.
in some earlier version of Hazel the rule would get a ! if there was something wrong with it.
(the "move to" folder was missing) but now days i dont see that, and manually open every rule to see if the move to folder is grayed out is a lot of work..

It seems completely unnecessary to have 275 rules on a single folder ... what are you doing?

Not at all, moving downloaded series to correct folder on nas.
Quickly becomes a lot of rules when you have a lot of diffrent files to move.
If you want to have a perfect automaticly run system for all your downloading, unpacking, renameing and moving. Then the rules add up.
Or do you have a working rule to move a 200+ different series episodes to their separated folder on a nas, then i would like to know how to do.

Look up "match patterns" in the help. That might help you to consolidate your rules.

Yes, as Mr_Noodle stated, this can be quite simply accomplished with pattern matching rules. I'd be happy to help if you post an example of your folder structure and example filenames as they come into Hazel.
Also, this has been done several times in different ways on these forums. A quick search will show you several methods others have used.

How did you go with pattern matching?
I for example are downloading bank statements and other files.
But I take the bank statements I have 4 different accounts.
I am thinking that I would need 4 different rules. But perhaps I could do it with one and patterns.
Is there an example of this somewhere?

All situations are different. Post some examples and we can help.
