Blank document

I have been using a Fujitsu Scansnap scanner to scan documents and then Hazel to move then rename documents. The scansnap programme works well and I can see the pdf version of the document properly (in pdf pen or any other pdf programme) scanned, however when Hazel moves the document across it is completely blank! The name of the file remains the same such as 2013-7-20 [specific words] just that there is no content to the file at all....

Hazel has the following commands..

If contents contain [specific words]
Move to [folder]
Rename date created [name of file ]

I am completely at a loss as to why it is doing this. Has any one any suggestions please.

Thanks

Is the destination on a different drive? Is there anything else that might process the file? Can you try this with other PDFs created by another program?

Thanks, no the file is moving from one subfolder on the main hard drive on my Mac Mini into another folder. There is nothing else that is interrupting the move of the file and as mentioned, the file is being made by the scanner programme. The odd thing is that it opens perfectly in pdf Pen or in Preview before it is moved, it is just once Hazel has moved the file it is blank. It is all very odd....

Any suggestions please.

Thanks very much

Jonathan

Maybe the file is being moved while it is being written out still? Try adding a condition like "Date modified is not in the last x minutes" and see if that fixes things.
