Ability to control "Date Added" attribute?

No matter what tricks get used, having all pre-Hazel files have the same "Date Added" is often an insurmountable problem when you try and create certain processing rules related to file age down the road (esp. when you're doing something like tagging based on date periods, etc.). It'll just never work properly.
It would be really useful if there were a rule action which allowed setting a file's "Date Added" to a choice of, say, a fixed date, the file's existing Last Opened / Modified / Created dates, or so forth. That way, upon installing Hazel, the user could simply create a rule to enumerate over the existing files in the monitored directories and "fix up" their "Date Added" attribute to be something more accurate for subsequent processing.
Just a thought.
Thanks.
