Moving just folder content and renaming it after moving

Hello.

I tried a lot of things but none worked for me.

I often download archives, usually zipped, and OS X uncompresses them automatically to folders. Now I wanted to automatically

1. move the content from the folders to the folder "PDF"
2. delete the now empty folders in "Downloads"
3. rename the pdf file in the folder "PDF" from name.version 01.(lots of other numbers and characters).pdf to name.version(number).pdf

The problems:
Hazel always moves the folder, not the content alone.

It renames the folders and not the content, even if I set "use rules on folder contents".

Please help me.

Have you read the sticky article on subfolders above? Post more specifics about your rules if you can't figure it out from the article but please read the article in full and pay special attention to the picture with the big red X ( meaning don't do that).

Hello. Thank you for your reply. I somehow don't get it.

I did read the sticky but it doesn't work. Or I didnt understand it the right way.

Here a screenshot of my rules, but with TV Show files, cause I thought it would be easier that way, but it isn't.

Image

1. Kind is folder

2. and if folder name has "E??S??" in its name, then

- run rules on its contents:
1. Move
2. Rename file
In my opinion it should just move its contents to the folder "Serien", or am I wrong? But it doesn't. What it does is: it moves the whole folder and renames the folder, not the content.

EDIT:
So I noticed that I over read the part that you have to make more single rules than one rule "that rules them all". :)
Problem solved.
