Help: Weekly desktop archive rules not working as expected

Hi, Hazel noob here. I have what I think should be a very simple rule running on my desktop folder:

If any file is older than a week AND hasn't been modified in a week, it'll be removed from my desktop to an archive elsewhere. The idea is to keep files I'm still using around, but to remove ones I haven't touched in a week.

I'm excepting folders from this rule. Here is a screenshot of what I have: http://d.pr/i/Axtk

It is working on the desktop, but it cleans the files away daily instead of weekly. I've tried changing 'is before' to 'is after', with no luck. I'm sure I'm misunderstanding something basic and would appreciate a little guidance.

Are you sure the dates are what you expect? If you preview your rules, select one of the files and click on its "i" button. That will show you the actual values. Many times, for instance, date last opened is not updated when you think it is.

You confused me for a minute there. I'm looking at my desktop files and wondering where the 'i' button was! In Finder of course…

I finally took a closer look at the rule options and seemed to have luck with:

Date Added | is not in the last | 1 week
Date Last Modified | is not in the last | 1 week

I'm still a little confused, but hopefully that'll sort me out.
