Syncing a folder (including deletions)

Yep, another subfolder syncing post! I've gone through the sticky thread and read through a bunch of search results from the Support forum and I have two separate rule setups that almost do what I want, but I need to combine them together and am having problems.

Creating a setup based on the sticky thread gets proper subfolder syncing of added files, but it doesn't track deleted files. The rule I created before reading through the forums properly tracks additions and deletions, but doesn't delve into subfolders (which makes sense since the Modification Date of the subfolders doesn't bubble up to the folder the rule is attached to).

This is the rule I built:

What do I need to change/add to get it to run through all subfolders of Dropbox/Backups? When I tried a test setup that made use of Run rules on folder contents that Mr_Noodle explained in a different thread, it would do the right thing for additions (but ignored deletes, unfortunately) except it would flatten all the contents of the subfolders into the top level of the sync destination; not good.

Check out my post here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1593&p=6500&hilit=sync+rule#p6500

The way you have it now, it will only trigger when things are added to or deleted from the Backups folder. Any changes to the files themselves or anything in subfolders won't get caught.

Awesome. I'll give it a go when I get back home after work.

Thank you very much.

That indeed did the trick. Thank you, again!

For posterity, here's my modified, working rule:

Is this rule set supposed to work right when the changes are made? Sometimes it kicks in right away & sometimes it does not kick in? Below is a highlighted folder that I added a file to but it has not Synced yet & I'm not sure why. I was hoping that it would work & I would not have to watch it. Should it kick in when a Modification time changes?

I think also the problem is that it will not Sync if you simply change the name of a folder or a file or if you open a file make a change to it save it then close it. Shouldn't this cause the Sync to kick in or does it need another rule?

It should sync. I suggest checking the logs to see what's going on.
