How can I setup a rule to backup my Hazel rules file when Hazel "cannot see" hidden files and folders?

Which files are you referring to? I will say it's probably a very bad idea to have Hazel monitor its own Application Support folder as you may end up with a never ending loop. Are you using any other backup software?

I was not sure which specific file/s I need to actually restore my rules in the event I have problems so I was planning to copy the Hazel fold from Application Support. If I knew which specific files are important, I would just back them up.

Okay, I agree having Hazel do its own backup is a bad idea. I use Time Machine occasionally, but between Time Machine Backups I could use ChronoSync or Keyboard Maestro. Any suggestions?

I think Time Machine should be fine for this as long as you have it backing up your Library/Preferences and Library/Application Support. All of Hazel's configuration details are in those two folders and you should be backing those up anyways so I wouldn't worry about it beyond that. If you want, you can periodically export your rules and save that file somewhere as well.

Thank you. That is what I need to know.
