Run Rules yields no results from "Where From"
Posted: Thu Jan 15, 2026 7:59 pmHoping Hazel will work for me - I'm on day1 of the demo. I download hundred of jpg images from various sites while researching for biological family/DNA. When looking at the files that are downloaded there is not much to disntiguish their source. I did a "Get info" on the file - and I noticed that the majority of them contact a "Where from" and then a url address, along with additional information. For example - "blob:https://www.familysearch.org/22019305-a93e-491f-b207-35d4c0996221" - So I added a rule for the download folder - If ANY of the following - and then selected "Other / Where From" and then "contain item" - familysearch.org - (I made rules for several for the sites I download from including, newspapers.com, ancestry.con - but Hazel seems to be missing the "Where from" field in the Finder's Get Info section? - Any suggestions - thank you. Looking forward to benefiting from Hazel for my work!
