Duplicate Files Sun Jun 15, 2025 11:11 pm • by Yajee
Hello, new to using Hazel even though I've had it for a while.

I set up a Smart rule where if a file has the tag 'work' for example it moves it to my work folder, problem is it is duplicating the files over and over, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Does it move or copy the file? If move, I'm not sure how it's doing it over and over since the file is no longer there.

In the rule I put move file. I had paused the rules when it started happening, have restarted one of them, let me see what happens and I will get back to you.

I switched the rules on and it started duplicating, could it be because it is a Onedrive folder?

The source or destination is OneDrive? Try a test without OneDrive and see if that changes anything.
