Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked before — I’ve searched through the posts but haven’t found a solution that fits my situation.

Here’s what I’m trying to do:

I currently have a rule that successfully strips all files from folders and subfolders — that part is working fine.

Now, I’d like to take it a step further. I want to move all folders and subfolders (not just the files) and flatten the structure. For example:

Folder 1
Folder 2
Folder 3
Folder 4
Folder 5
Folder 6

I want to move Folders 2 through 6 directly under a single root location (let’s call it "Level 0"), eliminating the nested hierarchy completely.

Any help or suggestions on how to automate this would be greatly appreciated!

Still a bit not clear on what you want here. Why folders 2-6 and not 1? Where are you moving them? Is it within the same folder hierarchy or somewhere else entirely?

Sorry, I have re-read my question and you are right, it is a bit unclear.

I agree that it doesnt make sense 2-6 and that it should be 1.

Ideally I want to send them to an "Empties Folders" which I then want to create a rule that if they don't have any files they should be deleted.

Ideally I want to keep this 2 step process.

I would like to add a screen shot but I havent been able to work how to do this.

You can create a rule to match folders that are empty (either via subfile count or size) and move them as appropriate. Note that if you have a rule to go into subfolders, then you'll have to be careful about how you set up the conditions and the rule ordering as both rules would match folders. You probably want the subfolder rule last.
