Using Hazel on Ondedrive Cloud Files - empty files created

On my new mac, I've been trying to get Hazel to automatically move some of my microsoft onedrive files onto an external hard drive for storage. Except, Hazel does create files in the destination folder, and it does delete the original files from onedrive, but the new files are empty/have zero bytes.

I'm trying to work out if this is a onedrive issue or a Hazel issue. I can only presume Hazel is getting ahead of itself and not downloading the files from onedrive. Are there any criteria i could set, or rule actions to create, to make sure that files are only moved if they're downloaded? Or am i barking up the wrong tree, and its actually a onedrive issue?

Thanks in advance

The files must be available locally on OneDrive for Hazel to do anything with them. Make sure to set it up so that that is the case.

You might want to use this script (or the commands therein) to check in Hazel conditions what files are locally. You could also ask OneDrive to pin (download) each file, although I'm not sure how long Hazel will wait around for that. Once they have been processed you could unpin with another rule.
