When I run Check for Updates, it doesn't report any updates available. I was looking to upgrade to v6. I'm currently on 5.1.1.

Any idea how to kick it to make it realise there's an update?

The updater in 5.1.1 is broken and regardless, you can't use it to update to a major version change. Go to https://www.noodlesoft.com and download from there.
