Hello,
I need to rename a file with the following structure:
CHK-DEB-2024-07-05-XXXXXX-25.37.pdf
The only thing I need to change is to replace the XXXXXX string (Vendor name) while keeping the rest as it is.
I can't figure it out how to do it.
Sorry if it is a dumb question, just new to hazel.

Look up match patterns in the manual. You can set up custom attributes to match the parts before and after the XXXXX string and use those in the Rename pattern along with the replacement text.

Thanks Mr_Noodle.
I had trouble making it work, but I could figure out how to fix it.
Every time I set up the rules, I couldn't save the changes.
So, the rules never took effect. I have to restart the Mac to start the rule from scratch, and the save option is not greyed out again.
This issue has occurred a couple of times now, any idea why saving option is not available while making rule changes?

This weekend, I will spend more time with it, and if I encounter the same issue, I will record it.
