hey guys.

anyone know the best way to get Hazel to differentiate between tv shows and movies. i've heard that getting it to recognize TV shows as the ones being <1GB however as i sometimes find myself downloading full length docos that were only ever available on VHS and are converted in a fairly low quality, i've got plenty of movies that clock in at less than 1GB.

is there a way to do it where Hazel recognizes the SXXEXX in the file name? or something

And yes, you can do this too. Search the forum or help (bottom right corner of Hazel prefpane) for name "matching" or "matches".

on your other tread you noted how mpeg and avi files are different sizes. i was at first thinking i could sort these by setting rules like "if avi AND >650mb move to movies folder" (or something like that).

however, since i convert all my video files to m4v for use with Apple TV2, i need to sort AFTER i convert the file (with iFlicks). the reason being that iFlicks is set up to run using a folder action applied to a folder in which all the video files are shifted to after the download is complete.

therefore, my problem still stands as i have tv shows with bigger files than some of the older movies.
