Start/Stop Hazel + hazelworker process

Hello,

I am trying to understand the mechanics behind hazelworker process.

I only occasionally need to run Hazel so I manually Stop Hazel and quit the application. The hazelworker process seems to be continuously running in the background.

I also realized the menu bar icon persists (but is greyed out) once Hazel is stopped and I quit the application. My first question is why is this the case? If Hazel is stopped why is the hazelworker process continuously running.

My second question relates to completely Quitting Hazel. I see the process "Hazel Helper" and "Hazel Notifier" running and cannot Quit or Force Quit them. They persist.

Any information on this would be helpful. Thank you

For the hazelworker process, do the following:

- Launch Activity Monitor. Find the process in question. Note its PID.
- Do "Sample Process" and send me the output.
- In Hazel's "Info" section, click on "View Log"
- In the search field, enter "[XXXX]" where XXXX is the PID noted earlier. Send me that output.

For the others, you should not quit them. They need to be running at all times.
