File moved but folder had been deleted

I had a rule that moved certain files to a specific folder. I forgot and deleted the folder. A file was moved but disappeared because the folder to which it should be moved is gone.
Where would the file have gone? My searched are not finding it anywhere.

Did you actually delete the folder or move it to the trash? Check the logs for specifics as to where the file went.

Thank you! I have never used the logs before. That did it.
