Hazel rule not working - "Not Matched" name Sun Mar 17, 2024 10:50 am • by Simonb
Hello, I just loaded Hazel up on a new M3 Mac a couple weeks ago and it seems that Hazel doesn't work

Code: Select all
The rule is to move file to category folder
If file not created today
And if File name is xxxxxx move file to folder X

it returns "Not Matched" File Name
and of course Ive tried all the steps including:
* copying the exact name from the file and pasting it into the rule
* writing the rule free, typing everything by hand
it is not working.

Click on the red x for the name condition to diagnose it further.

Yes, Ive done that, and just did it - there isn't anything I can add to this.

The red X info button says:
"Not Matched"
then Lists the "Name" field of the image

Well, I deleted the old rule and remade it exactly rule for rule. The new one works, the old one doesn't.

If you can replicate the issue, export the rule and email it in.
