Hello all!
I've been using Hazel to sort my images into folders by creation date. Hazel creates the folder by yyyy-mm-dd and then moves the image into it. I wanted to see if there was a way to move the folders hazel creates automatically into another folder that I'd like Hazel to create by yyyy-mm. Any suggestions for how to do this?

Which part are you having problems with? When creating a date pattern, you can edit it and set what parts of the date it shows.

I think I figured it out over the weekend with three rules:
1. Sort photos into dated folders (yyyy-mm-dd)
2. Create monthly folders with shell script (yyyy-mm)
3. Sort yyyy-mm-dd into subfolder yyyy-mm

You shouldn't need step two. "Sort into subfolders" will create folders as they are needed if they don't already exist.

Ah! I tried and it just works! I made it more complicated than it should have been. Thank you!
