Hi

I've just discovered this fantastic tool and bought the family pack for my home network based on reviews alone!

I've been storing my music that I download on a separate drive in a specific folder eg "/music/YEAR><MONTH>"

How do I automate this so that every download is stored in a different location based on this <YEAR><month> ie /music/201205/

Do I need to make the directory first or can Hazel create a directory if it does not exist based on some criteria?

It's not a show stopper, I'm sure I can work around this - but it would be great to be able to resolve this :)

Thanks

GD

First off, please heed the sticky article at the top of the Tips forum which says not to post questions there. The support forum is the place for that.

If you use the "Sort into subfolders" action, it will create the directories as needed. Just create a pattern using date attributes using the format you want.
