Resetting the counter to 71'245

In my canned documents folder the files are numbered with a sequential number and then moved out to the approriate folder. I had got up to about document numbered 71'245 wwhen Hazel ran amok (due to Cryptomator Vault not wanting to accept files from Hazel anymore. The result was that I ended up with 400'000+ copies of the same files, each named with a sequential number all the way up to nearly half a million.

I've since managed to delete those files thanks to an app called Duplicate Detector.

However the sequential numbering is now at over 470'000 for files processed in my scanned folder. Is there any way to set this back 71'245 which is where things started going wrong?
