Using counter to rename pix in the order they were created

Hello there,

Great software! Thank you.

I have a bunch of pictures sorted into folders by trip, one folder per trip (e.g. I have a Europe folder, a Las Vegas folder etc.). I am trying to rename all the pictures in each folder with a counter (e.g. Europe-1, Europe-2... Europe-98) with a sort by date, i.e. Europe-1 was taken before Europe-2, which was taken before Europe-3 etc.

Problem: I can rename the pictures easily with Hazel, based on their folder name, and add the counters, BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO SET THE COUNTERS IN A WAY THAT SORTS THE PICTURES BY THEIR DATE TAKEN. For example, I may end up with Europe-2 older than Europe-1 and more recent than Europe-4.

Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you!
Frank

You can try something like "Date taken is the 1 least recent" to match the oldest one. You also need to add conditions to not match the ones you already added the counter to.
