I am sure this is a FAQ, but no amount of RTFM I have done makes any sense to me.

All I want to do is this:

In a certain folder, I want to recursively add a label to all files, subfolders and files in subfolders.

As an aside, is it not possible to add images to a post?

Look up "subfolders" in the manual.

You cannot add images directly. You will need to use a third party cloud service. If you do not have one you are already using, you can use imgur.com.

Thank you. Problem solved. It seems strange to have to do it like that. Why is Hazel designed to work like that?

Do what, subfolders? It fits the basic model of how Hazel works. You create a rule and when Hazel encounters an item that matches those conditions (like a folder), it does the action (go into it and run rules on its contents).

The way it is now, it provides much better control. You can decide which folders it should go into and how deep it should go.
