Hazel unable to move Desktop folders

Hello,

Since upgrading to Sonoma, Hazel has been unable to move Desktop folders. It can still move files like PDF & PNG, but whenever it's a folder, it fails, and I receive an error that states the folder couldn't be moved. I had no problems with macOS 13. Any idea what the issue is?

Do you have iCloud set up to manage your Desktop? If so, make sure that the folders are actually on your local drive and not in the cloud. If the problem persists, then I suggest contacting Apple as that message is an error on their side.

I've had the same thing as you for a few weeks, which probably also coincides with the Sonoma macOS update.

I have a Hazel rule that moves stuff from my iCloud/Desktop to an iCloud/Documents folder 'Hazel Desktop Clutter Clearer', where more rules are run. The Desktop rule matches in the Hazel UI and in the log files, but won't run (the log is pasted below). Individual files run; but folder moving fails.

I tried Mr Noodle's suggestion of confirming that the item was really stored locally (i.e., not, really hiding in iCloud), which makes sense. But as far as I can tell, it's really there. The Finder shows cloud icons (rather than downloading icons) and the folder size looks plausible (and its contents' sizes sum to the overall folder size). Optimise Mac Storage is turned off and the Mac's drive has ample space.

I have the problem except its with pdf's on the desktops not folders with Sonoma. The conditions are all showing green but the file will not rename nor move to the correct folder. I am open to being a tester if this is one of the issues.
