Can't get "Other" attribute pop-up to stay on screen

When I select "Other" from the attribute menu, it flashes on screen but disappears immediately. I can't figure out what's going on.

I've tried rebooting multiple times, as well as quitting any extra apps I can find. But it persists. Any ideas what's going on?

Are you running the latest (5.2)? If not, update and try again.

Ah! That did it. I was still on 5.1.

Oddly, the update check also disappeared after I ran it, without notifying of a new version. So I downloaded it from the website and reinstalled.
