Change 'Date Modified' on Parent Folder?

When a file is added to a subfolder, the parent folder's date modified does not change, as seen here:



Is there a rule that I can run that monitors 'subfolder' and updates 'top level folder' (perhaps via 'touch') when new files are added to it?

Note that you can't have rules act on the monitored folder. You'd have to monitor the folder that contains "top level folder" and then set up a rule to match the folders in that folder (which would include "top level folder"). You can try and set up a nested condition to match items within "top level folder" while the actions themselves still act on "top level folder". Check the manual for more details.
