I know this sounds simple but i'm doing a very large reorg of hundreds of thousands of files and want to be 100% certain what Hazel ID's *specifically* as the various provided categories including: music, movies, photos, documents, archives, text, ETC.

I'm also curious why Hazel sees .AAE (Apple photo editing sidecar file type) as "music"? Apologies if this info is somewhere but I could not find it. Thanks!

Hazel does not provide those categorizations. It's the operating system in conjunction with the apps you have installed. You can see what they are by checking the file's "Kind" in Finder.
