Is there a reason why you are deleting the contents then the empty folder instead of moving the whole folder to the trash up front?

Try going through the troubleshooting guide to diagnose the issue: https://www.noodlesoft.com/kb/hazel-tro ... ing-guide/

Rules can match and operate on a folder just as files. There's nothing special about it. You can move a folder to the trash without emptying it first.
