Attempted to run worker on undeployed folder: Sat Jul 16, 2022 10:19 pm • by MrSeagull
I'm trying to get a rule working. The file matches the conditions but the rule does not execute.
Log reports "Attempted to run worker on undeployed folder:" followed by the folder path.

More problems with Hazel on this computer. I've removed all disabled rules from my Downloads folder but my log is full of errors relating to them and to other old rules that no longer exist.
Code: Select all
2022-07-18 14:42:19.033 hazelworker[50533] Error getting volume URL for /Volumes/HDD/Box Sync/Business - Tax: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=260 "The file “Business - Tax” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file." UserInfo={NSURL=file:///Volumes/HDD/Box%20Sync/Business%20-%20Tax, NSFilePath=/Volumes/HDD/Box Sync/Business - Tax, NSUnderlyingError=0x60000227eaf0 {Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=2 "No such file or directory"}}

Meanwhile I have a rule to simply move PDFs to a particular folder and while the rule matches PDFs in the download folder they do not get moved.

Can you try a reboot?

Reboot hasn't helped. Rule simply doesn't run or doesn't work.

Try exporting your rules, removing the folder from Hazel, adding it back in and re-importing your rules.

Removed the folder, re-added the folder and imported the rules via a sync setting file.
Rules wouldn't run until I removed my first rule, which was a simple rule to rename all added files with lower case extensions.

After I removed that rule the other rules ran, including the PDF moving rule.
But, my log is still full of errors relating to old rules and old file/folder structure that are no longer in use.

That might indicate that your first rule was matching everything. Rule evaluation stops at the first match. You would either need to add a Continue action or re-structure your rules to take this into account.

OK, thanks.

What about the logs full of irrelevant errors?

Well, they seem irrelevant here. Was that drive not mounted at the time?
