Hi. I want to copy all Markdown (.md) to textfiles (.txt) in the folder.

I have created a test to rename and that works perfect:
If all of the following conditions are met
Kind is not folder
Extension is md
Do the following to the matched file or folder
Rename with pattern name extension (md to txt)

I have also tested with copy the file to another folder and that also works

But I want to copy the files in the same folder (the watched folder) and later on all subfolder.
I have created a test to rename and that works perfect:
If all of the following conditions are met
Kind is not folder
Extension is md
Do the following to the matched file or folder
Copy to the folder monitored folder (option rename the file)
Rename with pattern name extension (md to txt)

But nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong? Can somebody help me?

Please go through the troubleshooting guide here: https://www.noodlesoft.com/kb/hazel-tro ... ing-guide/

Report back with the results of every test.

Hi

The problem is that if I copy it overwrites the file or rename it with _2
I want to copy the file to the same filename but with the extension .txt instead of . md from the original file.
Renaming works perfect but than I lose the MD file. And I need that in Obsidian. Copy is also not a problem if I do it to another folder. But I wat to copy all files with .md to .txt at the original location in the folder structure.
Going through the troubleshooting Guide will not help as I don't know how to do it. It is not in Mac Sparky his field guide, not in the help on the Noodlesoft website and not in any Youtube video that I found.

On Windows I created it in File Juggler in 15 minutes and it works perfect. But I want to do it with Hazel on my Mac. Any help or manual for this is welcome.

Please post the results of the troubleshooting guide. I can't help you without knowing the results of every test there.
