Can't seem to create a new rule. Sat Jun 18, 2022 5:30 pm • by rober1y
I've been trying to create a new rule. However, whenever I start on the rule, Hazel jumps to the top of the list and no rule even gets started. For example, I want to make a simple rule for Hazel to file a scan of any document that has a certain word in it in a certain file.

I click on "New Rule" I start to type the name of the new rule and suddenly it disappears and the first rule on the top of the Folder List appears deleting any progress on the new rule. This happens within seconds of typing the new rule name. I've tried Stopping Hazel, but it still happens. I try "Pause" rules and it still happens.

What is going on?

Try updating to 5.1.3. Note that the in-app updater may be broken in which case I suggest downloading and installing the update manually.
