Howdy all,
I am less than a novice with Hazel.

I am trying to get Hazel to alert me if my back-up folder has less than 5 items inside it, but I cannot get it to work.
What I think should work is:

- If all conditions are met
number of items [i] - [i]is less than[i] - [i]5
Display notification with pattern: file back up error.

I have 2 files in the folder and I do not get a notification. If I choose any conditions met, I do not get a notification.
I choose none of the conditions met, and change it to number of items is more than 5, I get notifications no matter how many files are in the folder.

Sorry for my ignorance. Any help appreciated.

Rules apply to items inside a folder, not the monitored folder itself. If you want to have a rule match the backup folder, then you need to have Hazel monitor the folder containing it.
