Hazel remains in demo mode

I bought a licence and downloaded the app from the www.noodlesoft.com website. I double click the licence file and it opens a pop up in Hazel that says that the software is registered to my name. However, when I open the log it says that the app is still running in demo mode. Also when I restart Hazel it says that my trial is over (despite the fact that I have loaded the licence during the previous launch). Already tried to restart my mac and deleted the app from Applications - to no avail.
