Advanced Subfolder Sort

Hi Hazel Brains Trust.

I am wondering if anyone has worked out a way to solve this.

Currently have multiple folders watched which sort tv episodes into subfolders with a pattern of

•Show -> • Season

This works great because all the data is able to be obtained from the file name / metadata.
I want to go up one level which I think requires a new script option

• Category (Search for Shows in subfolders) -> • Show -> • Season

The idea for category is to search and see if the show exists in a number of folders if not default to the normal folder.

Categories would be TV Children's Shows, TV Family Shows, etc

This allows a show to be manually assigned once and future episodes would end up in the same place.
Any suggestions appreciated

I don't think there's a good way to do that. Only thing I can think of is to maintain a table with the show name and category and use the table feature to sort using that.

If Mac OS, what about assigning labels for the category instead of a folder? You can assign multiple category labels to a single show, which may be desirable or an unintended side effect.
