Option button Mon Oct 04, 2021 10:25 pm • by flanjohn
I just started to learn Hazel (5.0.7). Try to create a simple rule to move a PDF folder from my desktop to a newly created folder called PDF also on my desktop but does not seem to work. Below the "kind is PDF" rule is the "Move to PDF folder", to the right of this move rule there is an options button, and when opened up this options button the first option is "rename this file", which I don't want. I simply want to move a PDF file from one place on the desktop to the empty PDF folder which is also on the desktop.
Could not remove this blue dot. This may or may not be the problem.

Thank You
John

That option is only for when you move a file when another file with the same name already exists. You can't have two files with the same name in the same folder so something must be done. Those options allow you to decide how to handle it.
