Some Directories Do Not Sync

I am evaluating the new sync feature in v3. Some directories did not sync for me. Please see log below.

Do you have ACLs set on any of the files?

I'm having the same issue using my Mac Mini. The folders returning the error don't have anything currently to sync, but they keep getting that error.

As I asked before to the other poster, do you have any ACLs set on the folder in question?

I am getting the same problem with the "Sync returned error status: 23"
I am not sure what you mean with ACLs?

Could it be a problem that the external drive I am trying to sync to is using NTFS as the filesystem? I am using the NTFS Paragon driver as this is the external disk I use when on the road (my work laptop is a Wintel machine) and it is less of a hassle to have everything on an NTFS disk.

Yes, that could be a problem as NTFS does not support all the metadata that the Mac filesystem supports and therefore an exact sync is not possible. I'm considering adding an option to relax it (to allow losing metadata) but it's not doable for now.

I got the same error. I believe It was caused because the folder was pre locked by apple. User downloads folder, cant change the name or location. So yeah, like you said... metadata

I’m seeing this error in my logs as I’m attempting to sync my 1Password data from my Dropbox folder on my Mac to an ExFAT formatted USB flash drive.

It does seem like the files are syncing despite the error in the logs. Can I assume that I’m just losing that metadata, but that the files themselves are being synced successfully?

If you turn on debug logging (see sticky article) and look at the output, it should report everything that it does. I suspect that you are correct but the logs will be a better indicator. If you want to avoid the error altogether, you should consider syncing to a drive formatted for OS X as exFAT will lack the ability to store certain types of metadata.
