Hello,

Possibly stupid question, but is there any way to operate a "delete immediately" on some particular files?

I have a program that generates a set of files fairly regularly. Once they are in the Trash they are not needed and they take up quite a bit of space. I don't want to just trigger an empty trash on size as I want other things to remain for 30 days in case of accidents etc.

Fortunately the files have a specific extension so they are easily selected.

There's no way to do that as the trash is meant as a failsafe. You can set a size limit on the trash and if the file is over that limit, it will get removed soon afterwards, but that may not be applicable here.

Alternatively, instead of moving stuff to the trash, you can use a script to delete the file outright, though I would not recommend this.
